Blue and Gold

I created this painting of a swan with acrylics on 8x10 canvas board.

I wanted to create a moody painting that shows off the beautiful plumage of the swan. At first this was going to be a quick practice painting that was never going to see the light of day. As I kept going I realized this painting was coming together better than I could have hoped for. I kept rendering it until I was happy with the result. The contrast of the blue and gold feathers against the dark, sparkling water makes me so happy. I adore this painting so much. I actually have it hanging in my living room! (I usually do not like displaying my own art haha)
